Iona are the highest vineyards in the Elgin Highlands region and has its own mesoclimate - cold air blows up from the Atlantic Ocean and clouds cover the farm protecting the vines form the harsh African sun. This cool climate means the grapes mature and ripen slowly resulting in even fruit and perfect acidity and flavour.
This star of a Chardonnay will excite Burgundy fans. Bright citrus, white stone fruit, oyster shell minerality and a hint of brioche. The purity of fruit combined with well-judged oak and bright fresh acidity result in a wine that is layered and complex with a gorgeous finish. Beautifully natural.
